Port type Needle Holder for operation under endoscope That Can Move the Needle in Vertical Tangential Directions
Conventional surgical needle holders can move the needle only in a 90-degree direction. However, with the recent advancement of minimally invasive and endoscopic surgeries due to the needs of people, surgeons increasingly face situations where the needle has to be moved in a vertical tangential direction in a narrow field of view. Due to the difficulty in handling the needle effectively, they sometimes have no other choice but to perform insecure and unsafe anastomosis. To break through this situation, we will develop a needle holder that makes it possible to safely and effectively move the needle in vertical tangential directions.
The world’s first needle holder with which the needle can be moved safely and effectively in vertical tangential directions (Port type needle holder)
A mantis pulley type direction turning device is installed at the tip of the existing needle holder to move the needle in vertical tangential directions safely and efficiently in all surgeries performed in a narrow field of view, including endoscopic surgeries.
* Surgical settings demonstrating effectiveness of the product:
Coronary artery bypass grafting, surgeries performed in narrow field of view, surgeries in a deep operative field, endoscopic surgeries, and all other types of surgeries
